With fire season rapidly approaching the members of this association should be pounding on both counties and forming a committee to go to both counties to get them to enact an ordinance regarding vacant lots.
If we have a heaven forbid out of control brush fire here in the subdivision it will not because of the lots with homes on them. We have vacant lots that have never been cleared in over 40 yrs just sitting there full of fuel waiting for the perfect conditions.
Neither county will put into effect an ordinance pertaining to vacant lots until AFTER SOME CATASTROPHIC EVENT. I don’t know about you but personally I don’t want to wait for that to happen.
Many counties in California have an ordinance and enforce it why can’t we have that extra security too?
We’ve heard a lot of “We are working for the members” from this board. It’s time for the directors to back their talk with some real action. And fulfill their fiduciary duties by actually working for something that benefits the entire membership instead of name calling and fighting petty old battles.
